Hello Elgin!

 I want to thank you for the opportunity you gave me to serve you on the Elgin City Council from 1999-2009. I felt honored and humbled. It has been the most rewarding experience and community service on which I have ever served.

When I joined the council in 1999 I had great challenges to overcome.  I was new to politics and I had much to learn. However, I was committed to exceed your expectations and represent you well.  I am proud of the many accomplishments we were able achieve together.

It was the people of Elgin that made my service unique.  Your passion, dedication and commitment to a better quality of life reminded me that you were expecting the best of me. One of the most valuable experience I was able to learn was the appreciation for diversity and understanding of what makes the City of Elgin a better place live a and a community to call home.
